Smt. Indumathy Ganesh is a premiere exponent of Bharatanatyam who is well known in the San Francisco Bay Area. Over the years, her solo performances have earned her accolades from dance critics and respect of contemporary dancers. Having been schooled in this ancient art of Bharatanatyam, she combines the fundamentals of this art form: the bhava, raga, and tala into a seemingly effortless rendition on stage - pure poetry, perfect rhythm, captivating grace and heartfelt emotions. 

Indumathy has received a lot of recognition for her solo thematic productions that she has produced and choreographed, such as: Glory of Rama, Bhakthi Shakthi – The Strength of Devotion, Arpana, Dance of Shiva, Shakthi, and Swapna - Dream.  She has collaborated with other dancers in the San Francisco Bay Area to choreograph and present fundraisers for the community: In Praise of Giving, The Hero’s Journey, Navagraha, Stree Mahima, Abhaya Hasta, Divya Nama Anjali, Shringara, Maitreem Bhajata, and TriDevi Natyotsava. 

She has also worked with California Contemporary Dancers to present a series of performances in San Francisco. Indumathy has been conferred the titles of Natya Mayuri and Lalitha Kala Rathna for her dedication to arts. In addition, she has participated as a soloist at the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festivals and the Asian Pacific Performing Arts Festivals.
